Friendly neighborhood cafe, lovely staff. Our morning stop before heading to school, a ton of books and toys for kids and a great start to the day

Good coffee, cheerful service, and a homey, comfortable, neighborhood atmosphere reminiscent of my favorite late '90s/2000s coffeehouses.

The Mexican Mocha was delicious. The barista was friendly and quick. Cute place, you could help with a puzzle while you wait. But wait isn't too long.

The servers are amazing and super friendly. Your order is made well, and quickly. No waiting around and receiving Luke warm coffee. The shop is very clean and inviting, and is kid friendly. The server Mya made the best breakfast sandwich and Jo the owner keeps you entertain with her witty conversation and jokes. They know the orders of all there customers and remembers everyone's name. I love the environment and will visit this shop every chance I get.

This spot is solid, partially for drinks like their Mexican Mocha. Good balance of spicy and sweet.

I recently became a regular here, after I stopped being a regular at Ocean Java, because the owner was rude to me. This place has the best prices in San Francisco & the best portions on their serving sizes & everyone that works here is nothing but friendly. I'm gonna keep coming back. Keep doing what you do the railroad espresso.

Live in the neighborhood and love having this place a quick walk away. The owner is an amazing person and the place is super relaxed and relatively spacious, even has a small kids corner. Just a nice welcoming place where you always feel welcome.

Really some of the nicest people working at this place. Felt very accommodated and like they really wanted me in there! You can tell they are loved by the locals and the vibe is just so warm and lovely. I will definitely be back to spend some more time here

I walk past this little coffee shop every Friday morning but never think of going in. This morning it was too cold and drizzly to walk and decided to stop in for a hot cafe mocha. I was greeted the moment I walked in and thanked as I stepped out the door. The service was friendly and fast, and the cafe mocha was far superior to other coffee shops I have been to. This place is a hidden gem, and I can't wait for another "too cold & drizzly" Friday to walk.

In the often hell that is SF coffee shops, I love that Railroad Expresso is a reliable option for me to safely know that I have a good place to work that isn't too noisy, has reliable WiFi, decent coffee, available seating and parking nearby. I've been to Railroad Expresso a handful of times when I'm trying to work from home (used to live in the neighborhood), and it's always been a solid choice. People are super friendly and I'm quite productive here. Of course I'm trying to move to the car-free lifestyle, but before I've reached that point, it's nice knowing that this is an area of SF that isn't overcrowded or plastered with 2 hour parking signs. If you're looking for a local place to get some work done, highly recommend Railroad Expresso! Bonus: Shanghai Dumpling King is diagonal across the intersection.
